Margaret Anne Sanders of Tucson passed away on March 24, 2021 due to complications from cancer. Margaret grew up in the Southern Arizona area and graduated from Catalina High School before marrying and relocating to Northern New Mexico. She gave life to two children, Ryan Scott Sanders and Stacy Marie Sanders, and was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Chase, Ethan, Seth, Axton, Logan, and Brynlee Chumley. After earning a bachelor's degree in education from the University of New Mexico, Margaret taught elementary students in both Phoenix and Tucson schools for many years. Margaret enjoyed camping and the outdoors, sewing and crafts, exploring new foods and recipes, had a particular love for Winnie The Pooh, and possessed a strong and caring helpful spirit. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, her brother Damian Whalen and sisters Pamela Boland, Mona McCane, Carolyn Carlson, and Edie Sickman, her mother Elma Briggman, as well as many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
